Does movicol also help with anal pain with constipation?

Constipation has been giving me a lot of trouble, and sometimes it's very painful during bowel movements. My doctor recommended Movicol. Does Movicol also help relieve the anal pain that comes with constipation?

Actually laxatives like Movicol make the stool soft, which indirectly reduces the tearing and pain while passing it. But honestly, if you have a lot of pain, you must add high-fibre vegetarian foods like papaya and oats to your diet. Also, please check with your doctor once to see if you need some local ointment for the pain.

For mild pain, a warm water sitz bath really works wonders alongside any syrup your doctor gave you. But if you see blood or if the pain is too severe to even sit down, please don't wait at home. Go to a general surgeon or your family doctor immediately.

Bro, constipation pain is literally the worst. Movicol basically makes it easier to go, so the pain doesn't get worse every morning, but it won't magically cure the cut or swelling down there. Better to ask a doc for some cream so u get quick relief.

It helps by easing the pressure, yes. Along with whatever laxative your doctor suggests, try to do some light walking daily for 20-30 minutes because it keeps your digestion moving. Just don't do heavy lifting or intense workouts if you have severe pain down there right now.

Mere saath bhi same scene hua tha. Movicol stool soft karega toh pressure kam padta hai, and that definitely helps the pain heal. But don't take it forever on your own, just consult a doctor to fix the actual issue.

I can only tell you what happened with me when I had this issue last year. My doctor gave me Movicol to soften things up, and it really helped reduce that sharp burning pain over a few days. But I didn't self-medicate, I went to a proper clinic first to be safe.
