Does mountain dew cause kidney stones?

My son drinks a lot of Mountain Dew, and I keep telling him it's not good for him. My neighbour said that sugary drinks like this can lead to kidney stones. Is it true that Mountain Dew causes kidney stones?

If you are having lower back pain or burning while urinating, please visit a doctor immediately. Don't rely on internet theories; get an ultrasound done to check for stones.

I drink so much soda to stay awake during late shifts, but honestly, my doctor scolded me. All that sugar and high fructose corn syrup is basically an invitation for kidney stones.

Bhai, ye sab bahaar ke meethe paani se bachke raho. Nimbu paani aur sada paani sabse accha hota hai shareer ke liye, ye soda se pathri hone ka darr rehta hai.

I just got treated for a 6mm kidney stone last month, and the doc told me to completely stop dark sodas and high-sugar drinks like Mountain Dew. They dehydrate you and raise uric acid levels.

As someone managing diabetes, I stay far away from these highly sweetened drinks. High sugar intake directly impacts kidney health and increases stone risks, so please avoid them.

Let's be real, drinking it once in a while won't give you stones instantly. But if you're chugging sodas daily instead of drinking water, you are definitely heading toward kidney issues.

Listen to me, don't worry too much if you had it occasionally. Just make a habit of drinking 3 liters of plain water daily, and your kidneys will stay flushed and healthy.

Most carbonated sodas contain phosphoric acid or high amounts of sodium and sugar, which promote calcium oxalate stones. Keep your diet clean and stick to natural fluids.

Having dealt with recurrent stones, I can tell you that dehydration combined with sugary sodas is the worst mix. Drink barley water and cut down on commercial carbonated drinks completely.

Instead of buying costly aerated drinks, why not switch to coconut water or buttermilk? It keeps your body cool, prevents stone formation, and saves quite a bit of money too.
