Does motrin help with tooth pain?

My wisdom tooth is really bothering me, it's a constant ache. A friend mentioned Motrin can help with tooth pain. Can I take it to get some relief until I see a dentist?

Hey, toothaches are literally the worst, but don't stress too much! Motrin actually helps really well with reducing that throbbing dental pain and swelling. Just take something small to eat before you pop the pill so it doesn't hurt your stomach, and try to get a dentist appointment soon.

Yes, it helps quite a bit with tooth pain since it controls the inflammation. Along with it, you can do warm salt water gargles 3-4 times a day, which is a very practical way to keep the area clean. It will give temporary relief until you can visit your local dentist.

My grandmother always suggests keeping a clove near the painful tooth, which really helps soothe it. But for the actual deep pain, my doctor advised that Motrin is very effective because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Do take it after food, and please visit a dentist for a proper checkup.

It definitely works for a quick fix if you have meetings and can't run to the clinic immediately. Motrin handles tooth pain well for a few hours. But honestly, don't drag it out with painkillers because dental infections can spread fast, so schedule a quick visit this weekend.

In my sixty years, I have had my share of dental troubles and I can tell you that Motrin is quite reliable for stopping that constant throbbing. It will calm the pain down so you can rest. Just rest easy, let the medicine do its job, and see your dentist when the clinic opens.

Oh God, tooth pain is so irritating yaar! Actually, Motrin works like magic for this because it targets the swelling around the gums. I had a wisdom tooth issue last month and it really saved me. Just don't keep taking it daily without showing a dentist.

Motrin can certainly assist in calming the acute discomfort so you can breathe easily and focus. Along with it, practicing gentle Shitali pranayama can help cool down the system. But remember, the body is signaling an issue, so a professional checkup is the best path forward.

I was looking this up recently too when my sister had a sudden ache at night. From what I read, the active ingredient ibuprofen is excellent for dental pain because it blocks the inflammatory response. It works much better than normal paracetamol for most tooth-related issues.

Man, tooth pain is a tragedy because you can't even enjoy your favorite food! Motrin definitely helps dull the pain so you can at least swallow some warm soup or khichdi. Take the tablet with some milk or soft food, and hopefully you'll be back to eating biryani soon!

I completely understand how scary and exhausting sudden tooth pain can feel, it used to make me panic so much. Motrin will definitely help bring the pain down to a manageable level so you can calm down. You are going to be fine, just take it and call your doctor tomorrow.

Please don't just rely on Motrin to mask the pain like I did. I kept taking painkillers for a month ignoring a minor toothache, and it turned into a massive root canal infection. Use it for temporary relief today, but make sure you get a dentist to inspect it immediately.
