Does mono cause fever?

My younger brother has been feeling quite unwell lately, with a lot of fatigue and a sore throat. We're trying to figure out what it could be. Does mono cause a fever, or is that not a primary symptom?

Yes, high fever is one of the main symptoms. Since tests can be expensive, consult a general physician first so they can prescribe only the necessary blood panels.

It causes a very stubborn fever that takes time to go. Along with your doctor's medicine, putting a damp cloth on the forehead helps lower the temperature gently.

Oh yes, it definitely causes a pretty high fever! 🤒 Just take your medicines, drink lots of juices, and get plenty of sleep to fight it off!

Fever is the body's natural way of fighting the virus. Rest completely, do light deep breathing in bed, and let the fever run its course safely with proper medical guidance.

Yes, I had a burning fever for almost two weeks. Did anyone else also feel extremely weak and sweaty even after the fever finally went down?

Absolutely, the fever makes you feel like you are melting! I could barely keep my eyes open for days, so just surrender to your bed and sleep it off.

Yes, it causes a solid fever along with a really bad sore throat. Don't ignore it or self-medicate; go to a doctor and get properly checked.
