Does mold cause migraine headaches?

I suffer from frequent migraine headaches, and lately, I've noticed a strange musty smell in one corner of my flat where there's some mold. Could there be a connection? Does mold cause migraine headaches?

Yes, mold exposure can definitely trigger severe migraine headaches in sensitive people.

During the monsoon, damp walls in old houses used to give me terrible headaches. Once we got the dampness treated, my health improved significantly.

Don't stress too much, but yes, damp walls and black mold can trigger bad sinus and migraine attacks. Try getting your room cleaned and see if it helps.

My grandmother used to say that bad air in damp rooms causes headaches, which is so true. However, please consult your doctor to rule out other causes for your migraines.

I used to get bad headaches and thought it was the wall dampness, but it turned out to be my blood pressure. Do get your BP checked along with cleaning your house.

I literally just went through this last month! Our bedroom wall had a leak and the mold triggered daily migraines; once we fixed it, the headaches stopped.
