Does metoprolol cause chest pain?

I started taking Metoprolol for my high blood pressure about a month ago. Sometimes, I feel a dull chest pain, especially after exertion. Is it possible for Metoprolol to cause chest pain?

Please don't panic, but chest pain while taking blood pressure medicine is not something we should ignore. Sit down, rest, and call your doctor or visit a nearby clinic right away to get an ECG done.

Chest pain is a critical symptom, especially when you are on heart medications like metoprolol. You must get it checked by a cardiologist immediately to rule out any serious complications.

Look, metoprolol is meant to protect your heart, not cause pain. If you are feeling pressure or pain in your chest, stop reading online and go straight to the hospital emergency room immediately.

Metoprolol usually helps slow down your heart, but sometimes adjusting to it can feel strange. Still, please contact your doctor right away to be completely safe! 💕

While it could just be heavy acidity from that extra parotta you had, anything with 'chest' and 'heart meds' means you should let the doctors do their job. Better to get a quick checkup and laugh about it later!
