Does menopause cause joint pain?

In my early 50s and going through menopause, I've recently started feeling these aches and pains in my knees and fingers that I never had before. My friend said menopause can cause joint pain. Is this something that happens to many women during this phase?

Yes, when estrogen drops, our joints lose their natural lubrication and can become very stiff. I practiced gentle joint-loosening yoga exercises and pranayama daily, which brought great relief. Please listen to your body and consult a specialist for proper guidance.

Haan, menopause me ghutno aur peeth ka dard bahut zyada badh jata hai na. Estrogen kam hone se bones weak hone lagti hain. Aap ek baar doctor ko dikha ke calcium aur Vitamin D tests zaroor karwa lo.

For mild joint pain during this age, massaging with warm mustard oil and eating soaked walnuts daily works very well. However, if the pain is severe or you see swelling in your hands, please visit a doctor to check for arthritis.

Estrogen acts as an anti-inflammatory, so when it drops during menopause, joint pain is a very common complaint. Regular strength training and loading up on calcium and healthy fats can help support your bones. Just make sure to get a green light from your doc first.

I completely understand how difficult it is when every joint hurts after waking up. I tried turmeric milk and hot fomentation which helped ease the morning stiffness. Along with this, please get your bone density checked as recommended by your doctor.
