Does melatonin improve sleep quality?

Though I usually get about 7-8 hours of sleep, I often wake up feeling tired, like my sleep wasn't deep enough. A friend told me melatonin can improve the *quality* of sleep, not just help you fall asleep. Is this true? I want to feel more rested in the mornings.

I completely understand how exhausting it is when you sleep but still wake up feeling tired. Melatonin helped me find a rhythm when my anxiety was peaking. It did improve my sleep quality, but only after I started working on my mental peace too.

It can help align your sleep cycle, but for true deep sleep quality, the mind must be calm. I always advise doing 10 minutes of gentle sheetali pranayama before bed. Natural sleep quality comes when the nervous system relaxes organically.

In the medical field, we see melatonin helping mainly with sleep onset, meaning you fall asleep faster. This naturally improves your overall sleep structure if you keep a regular routine. Just don't depend on it long term without consulting your doctor.

I am thinking of trying melatonin because my sleep is very light and I wake up at every small sound. Does it actually make your sleep deeper, or does it just make you sleepy at the start? I hope it is safe.

I used to panic because I woke up groggy on melatonin and thought it was making my sleep worse. But then I realized I was taking it too late at night. Once I took it 1 hour before bed, my sleep quality became amazing and I felt super refreshed.

Bro, don't stress too much about not sleeping well, it just makes it worse! Melatonin is really good at improving sleep quality by making your body relaxed. Just try it for a few days and see how you feel.

Actually yaar, it definitely improves sleep quality, especially if you have erratic work hours. You get more of that deep, restful sleep instead of just tossing and turning all night. It worked wonders for my night shift routine.

My sleep quality was terrible because of my late-night biryani cravings. Melatonin helped reset my cycle, which actually stopped my midnight snacking too! When you sleep better, your whole digestion feels so much happier.

During my consultation, my doctor explained that melatonin improves sleep quality by mimicking the natural hormone surge that signals nighttime. It increases REM sleep duration in some individuals. However, he emphasized that it should be taken at a consistent time every evening to be effective.
