Does melatonin help u sleep?

My friends often talk about taking melatonin to help them sleep, especially before exams or when they travel. I have trouble sleeping sometimes, especially with all the stress of college. So, I was wondering, does it actually help you fall asleep, ya just give you a heavy feeling?

In my experience, melatonin works well if your sleep schedule is completely disturbed due to travel or late shifts. At my age, sleep doesn't come easily, and melatonin helped me reset my body clock. But remember, it is only a temporary aid, not a permanent cure.

Yes, it actually helps quite a bit. My daughter had a lot of trouble sleeping during her 12th board exams due to stress, and our pediatrician suggested a mild melatonin supplement. It helped her fall asleep on time without making her groggy the next morning.

It definitely helps you fall asleep, especially if you have a disrupted routine. Just keep in mind that it doesn't keep you asleep if you have deep anxiety. Try to keep your phone away an hour before bed, and things will get much better.

As someone managing high blood pressure, sleep is very crucial for me. My doctor told me melatonin is a safe option to help me sleep without affecting my BP medications. Along with it, regular evening walks have really improved my sleep quality.

Yes, melatonin is clinically proven to help reduce the time it takes to fall asleep, as it regulates your body's circadian rhythm. However, it's not a cure for chronic insomnia. Consulting a sleep specialist or doctor is the most reliable way to address long-term sleep issues.

I had terrible insomnia for three months post-COVID, and melatonin really helped me get back on track. It didn't work instantly, but after taking it at the same time every night for a week, my natural sleep cycle finally returned. It was a savior for me.
