Does medicare cover mental health counseling?

I'm dealing with a lot of stress from work and home, and a friend suggested I try mental health counseling. I'm wondering if health insurance plans usually cover therapy or counseling sessions in India. Thoda tension kam ho jayega if it's covered.

Medicare does cover individual and group psychotherapy sessions under Part B, provided the therapist accepts Medicare. It is always best to consult your primary care doctor first, as they can recommend a licensed professional who fits both your medical needs and your insurance criteria.

Yes, Medicare Part B covers outpatient counseling with psychologists or clinical social workers. You usually have to pay your standard Part B deductible and a 20% copay. Look for local clinics that accept Medicare assignment so your out-of-pocket costs remain low and manageable.

I am looking into therapy for the first time because of some stress, but I am very confused about how to start. Does Medicare cover online counseling sessions too, or do we have to visit the clinic in person? If anyone has tried this, please let me know.

Haan na, therapy is so important but finding a covered doctor is such a task. Actually, Medicare Part B does cover counseling sessions, but we have to check if the therapist takes Medicare patients. You should definitely ask your clinic's reception desk first to be absolutely sure.

With the daily stress we handle, everyone needs a little counseling these days! The good news is Medicare Part B covers these therapy sessions, though you might have to deal with some standard copays. Just make sure the therapist is registered with Medicare, or you'll get a headache looking at the bill.
