Does manuka honey cure diabetes?

My neighbour told me that Manuka honey has amazing medicinal properties and can even cure diabetes completely. This sounds too good to be true, so I wanted to ask if there's any scientific backing to this claim.

No, it absolutely does not cure diabetes. When I went to Apollo for my family's checkup, the doctor made it very clear that no honey, organic or otherwise, can cure diabetes. Please consult a qualified endocrinologist for proper management.

Manuka honey is extremely expensive, costing thousands of rupees, and it won't cure your diabetes at all. Instead of wasting money on these costly imported products, use that budget for regular blood sugar tests and proper doctor consultations.

Please be very careful, as diabetes cannot be cured by honey. My child has high sugar levels and we have to manage it strictly with proper diet and medical advice. Honey is still sugar and will only increase their blood glucose levels.

I see many people asking about natural cures, but there is no scientific basis for Manuka honey curing diabetes. In fact, because it is high in fructose and glucose, it will actually spike your blood sugar. Stick to your prescribed medicines and regular checkups.

No, Manuka honey cannot cure diabetes. It is high in sugar and should be avoided by diabetic patients.

Take it from someone who has lived with diabetes for twenty years: there are no shortcut cures. No honey or special herb will cure it. The only way is consistent medicine, daily walks, and strict control over what you eat.
