Honestly, please be very careful before starting any magnesium tablets. I tried taking some local supplements on my own for joint pain and it totally messed up my stomach and gave me severe cramps. It is always better to get a proper blood test done and ask your orthopedic doctor first.

Please do not make the mistake I did of trying random remedies at home to manage the stiffness. I kept delaying my clinic visit thinking some vitamins would cure my joint pain, and now my arthritis has worsened quite a bit. Get a proper diagnosis from a specialist right away so you can start the correct line of treatment.

I was reading so much about magnesium online for bone health and got super confused because there are so many types like glycinate and citrate. What if it reacts badly with other daily medications or increases blood pressure? I think you should ask your family doctor once just to be on the safer side, though I really hope it gives you some relief.

Actually magnesium is decent for muscle relaxation, but for proper arthritis pain it might not do magic yaar. My uncle tried magnesium oil sprays and it only gave temporary mild relief, nothing major. You should consult a doc and maybe check your Vitamin D levels too, that is also very important.

My grandmother is suffering from a lot of knee pain lately and we are looking for options. Does magnesium really help with joint swelling as well, or is it only for muscle cramps? If anyone here has used a specific cream or spray for seniors, please let me know.

While magnesium can support muscle function, don't rely only on pills for arthritis. Regular, gentle joint mobility exercises and daily short walks make a huge difference if your physiotherapist approves it. Focus on an overall anti-inflammatory diet with green leafy veggies and keeping yourself active.

I had terrible knee pain last year due to early osteoarthritis. My doctor finally put me on a specific magnesium and calcium supplement after checking my blood reports, and it actually helped reduce my nightly muscle spasms. But it took almost two months to show some difference, so have patience and follow your doctor's advice.
