Does lyme disease affect the liver?

My brother's friend was discussing some rare conditions, and Lyme disease came up. He mentioned it could affect internal organs. I'm wondering if Lyme disease has any known impact on the liver? Is it a common complication?

Please don't search for liver symptoms on the internet, it will only scare you with worst-case scenarios. Lyme can sometimes cause mild liver inflammation or elevated enzymes, but only a proper blood test ordered by a certified doctor can tell you what is actually happening.

Yes, it can sometimes affect liver enzymes, which is why doctors often run a full liver function panel during the diagnosis. Don't worry too much, once the main infection is treated with antibiotics, the liver levels usually return to normal.

Man, liver issues mean skipping all the good spicy food and biryani, which is a total nightmare! Lyme can indeed cause mild liver irritation in some cases, so it's super important to eat light, simple ghar ka khana and get treated by a doc ASAP.

To protect your liver, you can drink warm water and eat light foods like khichdi, but please remember that Lyme is a serious bacterial infection. You cannot cure it with home remedies alone. You must take the complete antibiotic course prescribed by a doctor.

I was reading about this recently and got so worried because my LFT reports came back a bit off. Has anyone else here experienced elevated liver enzymes during their Lyme treatment? I'm waiting for my doctor's appointment tomorrow and feeling quite nervous.
