Does lupus cause arthritis?

I have Lupus and sometimes I experience quite a bit of joint pain and stiffness, similar to what people describe as arthritis. Is there a direct link? Does Lupus typically lead to or cause arthritis as a complication?

I have been having terrible joint pain in my fingers recently and I am terrified it is lupus arthritis. Does anyone else here feel constant stiffness in the mornings? Please tell me how you got it diagnosed, I am very anxious.

Haan bilkul, lupus se arthritis aur joint pain hona bahut common hai. Ungliyon aur ghutno mein kafi dard rehta hai na. Iske liye normal painkiller lene ke bajay doctor se proper autoimmune treatment lena chahiye.

Yes, arthritis is one of the most common symptoms of lupus, affecting over 90% of patients at some point. The good news is that unlike rheumatoid arthritis, lupus arthritis is usually non-erosive, meaning it rarely causes permanent bone damage. Regular medical follow-ups will keep it under control.

For mild joint aches, drinking warm ginger water or applying a hot compress works very well. However, lupus arthritis is an autoimmune condition and cannot be cured by home remedies alone. You must consult a rheumatologist for proper medical treatment.

I was researching this online and found that lupus arthritis typically affects the small joints of the hands and wrists. It seems to come and go in flares. It's really interesting how an immune system issue shows up as joint pain.

I am new to learning about this condition. Does this kind of arthritis cause permanent joint damage like rheumatoid arthritis does, or is it different? If anyone has experienced this, please help me understand.
