Does liver produce hormones?

I'm trying to learn more about how our body functions, especially regarding hormones. I know glands produce them, but does the liver also produce any hormones that affect our body?

Yes, the liver does produce certain hormones like IGF-1 and also breaks down others. I visited Kokilaben Hospital recently for my checkup, and the doctor explained how liver health affects overall hormone balance. Ask your doctor to explain this clearly based on your reports.

Dekho, liver ka kaam sirf digestion nahi hai. It actually produces and regulates several hormones in the body. If you are having hormonal issues, getting your liver checked is a very smart move.

Yes, it produces hormones like thrombopoietin and angiotensinogen, and it also processes estrogen and thyroid hormones. If your liver is sluggish, your entire hormonal profile can go out of whack. Get an LFT and thyroid panel done to see the full picture.

I totally get it, understanding how the liver affects things like hormones can be quite overwhelming. It does produce and regulate key hormones in our body. Take it one step at a time and discuss it with a good endocrinologist.

My teenager had some hormonal imbalances, and during the medical tests, we found his liver enzymes were slightly off. The pediatrician explained how the liver helps process hormones. Proper home-cooked meals and avoiding junk food really helped him recover.

Having PCOS has taught me how interconnected our organs are. The liver helps clear excess hormones from our system, so a healthy liver is crucial for hormonal balance. I'm not a doctor, but managing my fatty liver definitely improved my PCOS symptoms.
