Does liver problems cause skin rash?

I've developed an irritating skin rash that doesn't seem to go away with regular creams. My friend, who's into health, suggested it could be related to my liver. Is it true that liver problems can cause skin rashes?

At my age, if it's not acidity, it's skin itching! Yes, a sluggish liver can make you itch like crazy and cause red rashes because of bile salt buildup. Better get it checked before you scratch your skin off.

Yes, it can cause severe itching and red spots. Please try to apply some soothing calamine lotion and visit a doctor soon to get relief.

My cousin faced this last year and thought it was just a cosmetic allergy. It turns out liver issues can release toxins into the bloodstream, causing rashes. Getting a simple LFT test done cleared up the mystery for her.

When my father had jaundice, he developed these tiny, extremely itchy red bumps on his arms. The skin specialist immediately sent us to a gastroenterologist, and that is how we found out about his liver condition.

I freaked out when I got itchy palms and a rash, thinking my liver was failing. It turned out to be a simple contact allergy to a new soap. While liver issues can cause rashes, don't jump to the worst conclusion before seeing a doctor.

Don't spend too much money buying expensive skin creams first. It is cheaper to get a basic liver panel test for 500-800 rupees at a local lab. That will tell you if the rash is internal or just a simple allergy.

Actually yaar, my friend got these weird rashes and it was linked to fatty liver. Apparently, when bile doesn't flow properly, it mixes in the blood and causes mad itching. Better to get it checked out by a doc.
