Does liver pain feel like a pulled muscle?

I've been having this weird sensation in my upper right abdomen, almost like a strain or a pulled muscle after lifting something heavy. Could this actually be liver pain, or does liver pain feel like a pulled muscle sometimes?

Honestly, don't try to guess this based on what people say online. A muscle pull feels different but any pain in that right upper area shouldn't be ignored. Better to get an ultrasound done and see a proper doctor instead of trying home remedies.

I always get confused with these internal pains too. With my thyroid issues, I have learnt that getting regular blood tests and checking with the doc is the only way to be sure. Please get an LFT done and show the reports to a physician.

Sometimes poor digestion or gas also feels like a muscle pull in that area. Since I have high BP, I keep a close eye on any new body pain and get regular checkups. Take a break from heavy food and consult your doctor to rule out anything serious.

It can actually feel quite similar because both cause a dull ache in the upper right abdomen. However, liver pain might be accompanied by bloating or nausea, unlike a simple muscle strain. A quick visit to a general physician will clear up your doubts safely.

Please don't take this lightly. I thought my side pain was just a normal stretch or muscle pull, but it turned out to be a severe liver infection that took months to cure. Go to a hospital and get a proper diagnosis before it gets complicated.

If the pain increases when you stretch or twist, it is likely a muscle pull. But if it is a deep, constant throbbing pain, it could be your liver. Don't sit on it, just get an appointment with a gastroenterologist today.
