Does liver aid work?

My friend swears by liver aid supplements, claiming they're essential for keeping your system clean and healthy. I'm quite skeptical about these claims. Do liver aid supplements actually work, or are they just a fad?

Actually yaar, those expensive liver detox supplements don't do much. Your liver is already a self-cleaning machine. Just cut down on alcohol and junk food, that is the best liver aid you can give.

Most over-the-counter liver aid supplements contain milk thistle or silymarin. My gastroenterologist explained that while silymarin has some mild antioxidant properties, it cannot reverse established liver damage on its own. Proper lifestyle modifications and targeted medical treatments are what actually work.

They can be a good supportive option! 🌿 I took a liver tonic for a month when my digestion felt sluggish and it really helped. But don't forget to drink lots of water and eat fresh fruits daily! 🍎

I have tried several liver syrups and tonics over the years for my sluggish digestion. Some do give mild relief from bloating, but nothing works better than basic warm water with lemon or fresh bottle gourd juice in the morning. Don't rely solely on bottled tonics.

In my experience, liver aids can help slightly with mild indigestion, but they are not a cure for fatty liver or hepatitis. If you have elevated liver enzymes, you need a proper medical prescription rather than self-medicating with commercial tonics.

There is limited clinical evidence supporting the efficacy of commercial liver detox products. If you suspect any liver dysfunction, getting an ultrasound and checking with a qualified hepatologist is the safest and most effective approach.

These packaged tonics are fine, but in our house, we always trusted simple turmeric water, amla, and boiled food to let the liver rest. If you feel very heavy in the stomach, eat light khichdi for a few days. Always consult a proper doctor if the discomfort persists.

Haan bhai, thoda bahut toh kaam karta hai digestion sudharne mein. Par sirf liver aid syrup peene se kaam nahi chalega na, oily khana bhi chhodna padega. Treat it like a helper, main change toh diet se hi aayega.
