Does liquor affect kidney?

I occasionally enjoy a drink or two, mostly on weekends. My doctor recently advised me to keep an eye on my kidney health during my annual checkup. I'm now curious, how much does liquor affect the kidneys?

Bro, honestly, heavy drinking definitely strains the kidneys because they have to work double-time to filter toxins. If you enjoy a drink occasionally, it's fine, but don't overdo it. Just stay hydrated and don't stress too much!

Yeah, liquor totally dehydrates you, which is why your lower back sometimes hurts after a heavy night of partying. That dehydration puts a lot of load on your kidneys. Better to chug two glasses of water before sleeping if you've had a drink.

Clinical research shows that chronic alcohol consumption leads to oxidative stress in renal tissues, reducing kidney function. My doctor explained that it also impairs the kidneys' ability to regulate fluids and electrolytes in the body. It is a serious risk.

As a diabetic, I have to be extremely careful with both sugar and alcohol because they put high pressure on the kidneys. Liquor can cause sudden spikes and drops in blood sugar, which is a dangerous combination. Keep your intake strictly limited.

My father always warned that alcohol spoils the blood and kidneys, and modern medicine says the same. My family doctor clearly advised that even moderate drinking can raise blood pressure, which directly damages kidney vessels. It is best to be very careful.

Liquor is very hot for the body and damages the filtration system of the kidneys over time. If you want to keep your internal organs clean, drink barley water (jau ka paani) and eat fresh fruits. Please stay away from alcohol to live a long life.
