Does lion's mane help with sleep?

I often have trouble falling asleep and heard some people use Lion's Mane for it. Is there any evidence or experience that suggests Lion's Mane helps with sleep?

As someone who barely gets 4 hours of sleep because of work stress, I tried Lion's Mane hoping for a miracle. Honestly, it made me feel more focused during the day but didn't really put me to sleep at night. For me, just keeping my phone away was way more effective!

I completely understand how frustrating it is when you lay awake at night wishing for just a few hours of deep sleep. Lion's Mane is actually more of a brain-boosting supplement that people take in the morning for focus. For sleep anxiety, gentle herbs like Chamomile might be much more calming.

I used to have terrible sleep issues and tried various supplements. Lion's Mane is actually a cognitive enhancer, so taking it before bed might actually keep your brain too active and disrupt your sleep. If you want better sleep, try Ashwagandha or magnesium instead, and stick to a strict sleep schedule.

I had terrible insomnia and was looking at alternative remedies like Lion's Mane. However, when I got my blood checked, my thyroid levels were completely imbalanced, which was the actual cause of my sleep issues. Please get your routine thyroid and hormone tests done first.

Let's be real, Lion's Mane is for memory and focus, not a sleeping pill. Taking it at night might even make your mind race with thoughts. If you can't sleep, stop scrolling on your phone till midnight and do some physical work during the day.

Normally, people use Lion's Mane to sharpen their mind during the day, not for sleep. For a peaceful night, try drinking a warm cup of milk with a pinch of nutmeg and turmeric before bed. But if your sleeplessness continues for weeks, please go see a doctor.

I've been tracking my deep sleep cycles on my smartwatch while experimenting with Lion's Mane. I didn't see any noticeable improvement in my sleep quality score when taking it. It's great for daytime focus, but for sleep, focusing on your circadian rhythm works best.
