Does leukemia fever come and go?

My brother has been having fevers that come and go, without any clear reason. We're getting some tests done. Can a fever associated with leukemia appear intermittently, rather than constantly?

Yes, it can absolutely keep coming and going, and ignoring this is my life's biggest regret. I kept taking paracetamol thinking it was just normal viral seasonal fever until it got very late. Please do not make that mistake; get a proper blood test done right away.

I am just reading about this because my cousin has similar symptoms. Does this kind of fever usually come with night sweats too? We are a bit scared to go to the doctor, but I think we should book an appointment soon.

In my long life, I have seen that persistent low-grade fevers that fluctuate are often the body's way of signaling trouble inside. My brother had this pattern during his early treatment days. Do not lose hope or panic, modern medicine has excellent options, just consult a physician early.

My sleep schedule is so ruined that I do not even know what day it is, but I know that a weird, recurring fever is nothing to sleep on. If a fever is acting like an unwanted guest who leaves and returns every few days, skip the Google search and call a doctor. Seriously, get it checked.

A fluctuating fever shows that the body's internal immune balance is struggling. While gentle breathing exercises can help keep the mind calm, they cannot cure medical issues like leukemia. Please visit a specialist for a proper diagnosis first, then you can focus on restorative rest.
