Does lemon juice really break up kidney stones?

My neighbor claims that drinking a specific mixture with lemon juice can really break up kidney stones. I'm a bit skeptical, but also curious. Does lemon juice actually have the power to break up kidney stones, or is this exaggerated?

I have tried everything from beer to barley water and lemon juice for my stones. Honestly, lemon juice does not 'break up' a stone that is already formed. It only helps prevent new ones from growing, so don't avoid medical treatment.

Stay positive and take care of your body. While nature provides us with remedies like lemon to maintain our internal balance, severe pain requires proper medical guidance. Trust the healing process but also consult a professional.

In my years of yoga practice, I have seen that clean water and a balanced diet keep the kidneys functioning well. Lemon juice is helpful for prevention, but it cannot dissolve hard stones. Gentle yoga stretches also help in relaxing the pelvic muscles.

Haan, log bolte toh hain ki nimbu se pathri tut jati hai, par actually aisa hota nahi hai na. Wo toh bas prevent karne ke liye thik hai. Agar bada stone hai toh proper treatment hi lena padega.

My doctor clearly explained that the citrate in lemon binds with calcium, preventing stone formation. However, once a stone is fully formed and crystallized, lemon juice has zero ability to break it down chemically.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! Just drink loads of water and have your lemon juice for hydration. If the pain gets bad, just see a doctor, okay? No need to overthink.

Humare yahan toh log bolte hain ki nimbu paani se pathri nikal jati hai, par humesha aisa nahi hota. Sahi doctor ko dikhana sabse zaroori hai taaki takleef na bade.

If lemon juice could actually break up stones, urologists would be out of business by now! It's great for refreshing your mood, but for actual stones, you need real medicine, not kitchen chemistry.

Let's be direct: lemon juice does not break up kidney stones. It is scientifically impossible for dietary citrate to break down a solid calcium stone in your urinary tract. Go see an expert.

With my thyroid issues, I have to be very careful with kidney health too. It is best to get regular urine tests and follow up with a doctor rather than relying on lemon juice to solve kidney stones.

Actually, lemon juice only helps in preventing new stones. It is better to consult a doctor to get the right treatment for your current stone.

I used to panic every time I felt a small pain, thinking my stone was getting bigger. But my doctor reassured me that small stones pass naturally with water. Lemon juice is just a support, nothing to worry about.
