Does lemon cause acidity in stomach?

I love adding lemon to my food and drinks, but sometimes I feel a bit uneasy in my stomach afterwards. Could lemon actually cause acidity in the stomach? I thought it was good for you.

Before you spend 2000 rupees on fancy gastroenterologist visits and pH tests, just try stopping lemon water for 4 days. If the burning stops, you have your answer for free. It's always better to track your food triggers yourself before running to clinics.

My mom used to give me lemon juice when I had acidity, but it always made my chest burn more. I looked it up and apparently, it can trigger acid reflux for some people. Now I just stick to cold milk or simple water.

Honestly, between my late-night work shifts and double espresso habits, my stomach is already a volcano. Adding lemon juice in the morning felt like pouring petrol on it. If you are already highly acidic and sleep-deprived like me, skip the raw lemon.

Acidity issues are the worst, yaar. Actually, lemon water empty stomach pe lene se mere friends ko toh bohot suit karta hai, but mujhe direct heartburn hota hai. So check swap karke dekho, maybe your system is too sensitive to citric stuff.

I was reading some articles on this because I got confused too. Science says lemon is acidic outside, but inside our body, it becomes alkaline. Still, if your stomach lining is already sensitive, the initial acid can definitely cause a sharp burn.

I used to panic and think I had an ulcer every time I drank warm lemon water and felt a pinch in my chest. But then I realized it only happens when I drink it on a completely empty stomach. Now I take it after breakfast and it is totally normal.
