Does lack of sleep raise blood pressure?

My blood pressure has been a bit high recently, and my doctor asked me about my lifestyle. I mentioned that I often get very little sleep due to household chores and stress. Could this lack of sleep actually be contributing to my high blood pressure?

Yes, actually it really does! I checked my BP after a week of terrible sleep and it was quite high, which made me panic so much. Please try to track it but don't stress, because stressing about it will make the BP go even higher.

Haan yaar, if my boss doesn't let me sleep, my BP definitely shoots up! Jokes aside, your body needs that downtime to cool down. Give the late-night scrolling a break and sleep, otherwise your heart will start complaining.

My grandmother always says that a quiet mind and early sleep keeps the heart calm, and she is quite right. If you are regularly sleeping less and feeling heavy-headed, please consult a doctor once. It is always better to get professional advice for BP issues.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! It's true that bad sleep can temporarily spike your BP because your body doesn't get to rest. Just take a warm water bath, keep your phone away, and try to get a solid 8 hours tonight. You will feel much better tomorrow.
