Does l&i pay pain and suffering?

I recently had a workplace injury and am in the process of filing a claim with L&I. I'm wondering about the compensation structure. Does L&I pay for pain and suffering as part of the settlement, or is it just for medical bills and lost wages?

Based on what happened during my cousin's workplace injury claim, L&I (Labor and Industries) does not pay anything for 'pain and suffering' like regular car insurance does. They only cover medical bills, rehabilitation, and lost wages. It was a very stressful process, but that is how their system works.

Let's be very clear about this: L&I is a no-fault workers' compensation system, and by law, it does not cover 'pain and suffering' damages. You only get coverage for direct medical treatments and partial wage replacement. If you want pain and suffering damages, you'd have to look into a third-party lawsuit if someone else was at fault.

When I was recovering from a work injury, managing my blood sugar was hard due to the stress. I researched L&I benefits thoroughly then, and they definitely do not pay for pain and suffering, only medical expenses and vocational help. Keeping your stress down is important for healing, so focus on recovery.

Don't listen to random people online telling you that you can easily get pain and suffering money from L&I. They do not pay that under standard workers' comp laws. You should verify everything with an authorized legal representative or your doctor to understand your actual rights.

L&I only looks at bills and numbers, not the emotional or physical suffering we go through during recovery. While they don't compensate for pain, practicing gentle pranayama and light stretching can help soothe your nervous system naturally during this difficult phase. Peace of mind is the real wealth.

Workers' compensation programs like L&I explicitly exclude pain and suffering from their scope of coverage. They focus strictly on objective medical recovery and wage loss benefits. If you are experiencing persistent pain, make sure to get it clinically evaluated and documented by your attending physician.

I panicked so much when my L&I claim got approved but had zero mention of pain and suffering compensation. I thought they were cheating me! But after talking to a legal counselor, I realized this is completely normal and standard for workers' comp. So don't worry, they are paying your medical bills, which is the main thing.

In my 30 years of working in manufacturing, I have seen many colleagues go through L&I claims. They never pay for your pain or mental stress, only the actual clinic bills and some wage compensation. Don't worry too much about the extra payout, just focus on getting your health back.

While L&I will handle the medical payments, they won't give any money for pain and suffering. For the physical pain, you can try natural warm oil massages and hot fermentation at home. But if the pain is very severe or accompanied by numbness, please consult a proper specialist immediately.

My uncle was looking into this after hurting his back at his factory job. L&I basically only covers the hospital bills and gives some money for the days you couldn't work. No extra money is given for pain and suffering, which kinda sucks but that's the rule.
