Does kratom help with pain?

My chronic back pain has been really bad these days, and I'm looking for some natural relief options. A relative suggested kratom, saying it helps with pain. Does kratom actually help in managing pain effectively?

I was in sheer panic when my back pain didn't stop, and someone recommended this green powder. It did numb the pain initially, but the side effects were too scary. Thankfully, physical therapy resolved my pain permanently and safely.

I can only share my husband's experience with his chronic joint pain. He tried it for a week, and though it reduced the pain, it made him extremely constipated and dizzy, so he stopped it immediately.

I developed severe liver issues and bad withdrawal symptoms when I tried to stop using it for my knee pain. Please do not experiment with this. Go to a hospital and get proper, safe treatment.

I completely understand how desperate one can get when living with constant physical pain. It is exhausting, but using unregulated substances like kratom can lead to severe addiction. Please stay strong and look for safer medical alternatives.

It acts on opioid receptors, so of course it blocks pain. But so do heavy prescription drugs, which are highly addictive. Don't fall for the 'natural herb' marketing; it is a serious substance with major dependency risks.

It relieves pain temporarily, but the risk of physical dependence and withdrawal is extremely high.

Please don't just mask your pain with these heavy herbs. I ignored my chronic abdominal pain once, taking random powders, and it turned out to be a severe ulcer that ruptured. Go get a proper diagnosis from a real doctor first.

I was looking into this for my mother's arthritis. It seems to help with pain management, but the legal status and side effects in India are very sketchy. It is probably better to stick to standard medical treatments.
