Does kratom cause kidney stones?

My brother was looking into kratom for pain relief, but my aunt had kidney stones last year so we're all a bit cautious. Does anyone know if kratom can cause kidney stones? We don't want to take any unnecessary risks.

I totally get it, the fear of kidney stones is so scary because the pain is absolutely unbearable. Kratom causes dehydration which is a primary reason for stone formation. Please drink plenty of water and stop taking this powder.

If you are gulping down dry plant powder and not drinking enough water, your kidneys are going to suffer. I would rather drink fresh coconut water and eat juicy melons than mess with my kidneys like this.

When I visited Apollo Hospital for my back pain, the doctor specifically warned against using self-prescribed herbs because they filter through the kidneys. You should ask your doctor clearly before putting such things in your body.

Kratom acts as a diuretic and dries out your system, which can easily trigger calcium oxalate build-up in your kidneys. If you value your work hours and peace, don't risk getting hospitalized with stones. Quit the habit now.

Agree with this. Chronic dehydration from kratom is a major risk factor for developing painful kidney stones.
