Does klonopin make you sleep?

My doctor recently prescribed Klonopin, and I've noticed I feel quite drowsy after taking it. Is it supposed to make you sleep or feel tired, or is that just a side effect for me?

In my experience, yes, it made me extremely drowsy within an hour of taking it. I slept for almost 9 hours straight, but please discuss your dosage only with your psychiatrist.

Honestly, this pill completely knocks me out. I was prescribed a very low dose for anxiety, and I literally cannot keep my eyes open after taking it. Don't plan to study or drive after this!

It definitely induces deep sleep. My only issue is that I wake up feeling super hungry in the middle of the night and end up raiding the fridge for midnight snacks!

Yes, it causes deep sleep, but as a diabetic, I had to be very careful because sleeping too long can sometimes delay meals and mess up sugar timings. Always plan your dosage with your doctor.

I know how exhausting insomnia and anxiety can be. It did help me sleep when I was at my worst, but the morning grogginess was very tough to deal with. Be gentle with yourself.

Yes, drowsiness is the primary effect of this medication as it is a central nervous system depressant. Never use it as a casual sleeping pill; use it strictly under medical supervision.
