Does kidney stones delay your period?

My period is quite late this month, which is unusual for me. I've also been having some mild discomfort that makes me wonder if it could be a kidney stone. Could kidney stones actually cause a delay in my period?

The stone itself doesn't delay it, but the extreme stress and medications can definitely mess up your cycle. Before spending a lot of money on expensive hormonal tests, just get a basic home pregnancy test if needed, and give your body some time to recover from the pain.

Physiologically, kidney stones won't directly stop your period. But the sheer physical stress on your body and some painkiller medications can temporarily disrupt your cycle. Just keep track of the days and consult your gynaecologist if it is delayed by more than two weeks.

Dealing with stone pain is already a full-time job, so maybe your ovaries decided to take a small vacation too! Jokes aside, severe pain putting stress on your body can easily delay your period by a few days.

Ah, the joys of being a woman! One side you have kidney pain, and other side your monthly cycle decides to play hide and seek because of the stress. Don't worry, once the pain subsides, everything usually goes back to normal.

You can drink warm ginger water to help ease both abdominal cramps and stone discomfort naturally. However, if your period is missing for a long time or if you have severe pelvic pain, please see your doctor instead of waiting at home.

Do not worry, dear. When the body goes through so much pain, its natural rhythm gets disturbed. Just pray, keep your mind peaceful, and eat light food. Your body will find its balance again soon.
