Does kidney pain hurt?

My mother has kidney issues and she always talks about the pain. If someone has kidney pain, does it actually hurt a lot, or is it more of a dull ache?

Yes, absolutely, it hurts a lot. It is not like a normal backache that you can just ignore and walk around with. When it hits, it is a sharp, deep pain in your side or back that makes it hard to focus on anything else.

Yes, it is quite painful and can disturb your daily work. Instead of buying expensive pain sprays that won't work on internal organs, go to a government hospital or a local clinic. A simple ultrasound will tell you exactly what is wrong.

Yes, kidney pain can be severe. While drinking barley water or coconut water helps soothe mild urinary irritation, true kidney pain requires a proper clinical diagnosis. If the pain is sharp or accompanied by fever, see a doctor immediately.

It hurts like crazy, yaar. Actually, when I had a small stone, the pain was so sudden that I couldn't even stand straight. Don't wait for it to become unbearable, just get a doctor to check it out.

I can only speak from my own experience with a kidney infection. It felt like a heavy, throbbing ache on one side of my lower ribs that also made me feel nauseous. If your pain is anything like that, consulting a doctor would be the right path.

It can be a very deep and distressing pain, which makes deep breathing difficult too. While gentle breathing exercises can help calm your mind, they cannot cure the physical cause. Please listen to your body and seek timely medical help from a professional.
