Does kidney failure cause diarrhea?

Continuous diarrhea for weeks now, along with feeling very weak, has me worried about my health. My neighbour suggested it might be kidney related. Can kidney failure cause prolonged bouts of diarrhea?

For mild stomach upset, I usually drink buttermilk or take curd rice. But kidney failure is a very serious medical condition, and diarrhea in such cases can lead to dangerous dehydration. Please do not try home remedies for this and consult their doctor immediately.

Yes, the buildup of toxins in the blood can irritate the digestive tract and cause diarrhea or vomiting. Please consult a doctor immediately.

My uncle had kidney failure and when he developed diarrhea, his potassium and fluid levels went completely out of balance, which became very critical. This is not something to manage at home. Please take the patient to the hospital right away.

Haan, kidney failure high levels of toxins create stomach issues, jiski wajah se loose motions ho sakte hain. Normal digestions issue samajh ke ignore mat karna na, doctor ko dikhana hi padega call karke.

When my mother had loose motions during her kidney treatment, I completely panicked thinking things were getting worse. But the doctor adjusted her medications and told us it can happen due to toxin load, and she got fine soon. Just talk to your doctor, they will manage it.
