Does kidney disease cause bloating and weight gain?

Lately, I've been feeling very bloated and have gained some unexplained weight, even though my diet hasn't changed much. My feet also look a bit swollen. Can kidney disease be a cause of bloating and sudden weight gain?

Haan bhaisaab, jab kidney thik se kaam nahi karti toh sharir me paani rukne lagta hai, jisse pet me bhaaripan aur vajan badh jata hai. Pairon me bhi soojan aane lagti hai. Aisa kuch ho toh turant bade hospital me dikhana chahiye.

I have thyroid and know all about sudden bloating and weight gain, but with kidney issues, it is often due to fluid retention (edema). It is very important to get regular blood tests and follow up with a doctor. Please don't ignore sudden facial or ankle swelling.

My son had a kidney condition that caused severe protein leakage, and his face and stomach would swell up with water weight almost overnight. It looks scary, but with proper doctor-prescribed water pills and a low-salt diet, it can be managed. Please consult a pediatric nephrologist.

Let's be real: sudden weight gain from kidney disease isn't fat, it's fluid. If your kidneys aren't filtering sodium, water builds up in your tissues. Skip the diet fads, get a kidney function test done, and show it to a nephrologist immediately.

I have been experiencing a lot of bloating recently and my feet look slightly puffy. I didn't know it could be related to kidneys. Does kidney bloating feel hard to the touch, or is it just like normal gas bloating?

Honestly, I thought my weight gain was just from too many butter chicken deliveries! But if you are bloating like crazy and gaining weight without actually eating more, it could be water retention from kidney issues. Definitely worth getting checked out by a doc.

I tried drinking so many herbal teas to reduce my stomach bloating, thinking it was just gas. But when the weight kept rising and my feet swelled, the doctor told me my kidneys were struggling. Home remedies won't work for fluid retention; you need proper medical treatment.

In my 65 years, I have seen that many people confuse kidney-related water retention with fat weight gain. If the swelling leaves a dent when you press your shin bone, it is water. Don't worry, once the doctor starts the right treatment, the water weight comes off quickly.

Hey dear, please don't stress too much about the scale numbers right now. If your body is holding onto water because of kidneys, it's just a temporary physical reaction. Focus on seeing a good doctor, getting the right advice, and you will feel lighter soon!

Yes, kidney issues cause fluid retention which looks like rapid weight gain and bloating. Please get your serum creatinine and urine protein tested.
