Does kidney disease cause bad smell?

A strange, almost metallic smell sometimes from my breath, and generally feeling unwell, has me worried it might be related to my kidneys. Do kidney problems often cause unusual body odors or bad breath?

Hey, don't stress too much! Sometimes a weird taste or smell can just be due to dehydration or something you ate. But yes, advanced kidney issues can cause a metallic taste or ammonia-like breath. Just get a quick checkup with a doctor to be absolutely sure, okay?

I totally get it, dealing with strange symptoms like body or breath odor can be really embarrassing and stressful to talk about. Please don't feel awkward. It is actually a known symptom in advanced kidney stages, and seeing a doctor will help find the right way to manage it.

Don't panic. An ammonia-like smell in the mouth is sometimes seen when kidney function is low. Let's get a simple blood test called KFT (Kidney Function Test) done first. Once we have the reports, we can take it to a good doctor and handle this together.

Yes, when kidneys don't filter waste properly, toxins like urea build up in the blood, causing an ammonia-like breath or body odor. Eating a clean, low-protein vegetarian diet as advised by a dietitian can help reduce this load, but medical treatment is primary.

Humare pados me ek babuji ko jab kidney ki bimari badh gayi thi, toh unke saas se thodi ajeeb si gandh aati thi. Yeh sharir me gandagi jama hone se hota hai. Unko doctor ke paas le gaye aur dialysis shuru hone par kaafi aaram mila.
