Does kidney beans increase blood sugar?

My doctor advised me to watch my blood sugar levels closely since I'm diabetic. I enjoy kidney beans, but I'm unsure about their effect. Do kidney beans increase blood sugar significantly?

Don't worry too much about this. Kidney beans actually have a low glycemic index and are rich in fiber, which means they release sugar very slowly into your bloodstream. Just keep your portion of rice small when eating them.

Hey! I am prediabetic and I eat rajma regularly. It actually helps keep me full for longer because of the protein. I just mix it with brown rice or quinoa instead of white rice and my sugar levels stay perfectly fine.

I used to think all beans are safe, but during my severe diabetes flare-up, my sugar spiked because I was eating too many carbs. Everyone's body reacts differently. Please monitor your sugar before and after meals and consult your doctor for a diet plan.

I just got my HbA1c down from 8.2 to 5.9 recently. I ate kidney beans twice a week as part of my recovery diet because they are excellent for insulin sensitivity. Just don't cook them with too much oil or heavy cream.

While kidney beans are generally considered good for diabetics due to fiber, you should always verify how they affect your specific body. Keep a food diary and get your HbA1c checked regularly at a lab to stay safe.

I totally panicked when my glucometer showed a small jump after eating kidney beans last month. But my doc explained that a minor, gradual rise is completely normal and healthy. It's the sudden sharp spikes from processed sugar we need to avoid, so enjoy your rajma!

I am always so scared to eat carbs now. I checked my sugar after eating rajma yesterday and it was slightly high, did anyone else face this? Maybe it was the portion of rice I had with it, but I am still very nervous.
