Does ketoconazole help psoriasis?

My psoriasis on the scalp is really bothering me, and nothing seems to work for long. I saw a ketoconazole shampoo mentioned online. Does ketoconazole actually help with psoriasis, especially on the scalp?

I stay up all night scratching my itchy scalp, and let me tell you, ketoconazole is mainly for fungal dandruff, not direct psoriasis. It might help with secondary fungal infections, but for psoriasis, you need specific steroid or coal tar treatments. Save your sleep and ask a skin doctor!

Beta, psoriasis is a deep-seated skin issue and requires careful medical treatment. Ketoconazole is generally for scaling caused by dandruff, not psoriasis itself. For soothing, you can apply a little pure coconut oil, but you must consult a proper skin specialist for the correct prescription.

Psoriasis can be a tough journey, but keeping a positive mind and a calm lifestyle helps heal the body. While ketoconazole targets fungal issues, it might not heal the autoimmune root of psoriasis. Take care of your health, eat clean foods, and seek a doctor's guidance.

Ketoconazole won't do much for psoriasis since it's an autoimmune thing and not fungal. You'll get better results by managing inflammation through a clean, anti-inflammatory diet and strength training. Keep your stress levels low and definitely check with a dermatologist for the right creams.

Ketoconazole is an antifungal medication, whereas psoriasis is an autoimmune skin condition, so it won't cure it directly. However, doctors sometimes prescribe it if there is a fungal infection on top of your scalp psoriasis. Please get a proper diagnosis from a dermatologist first.

Psoriasis flare-ups are highly linked to stress, which is why regular walking or light exercise can really help manage it. Ketoconazole shampoo might only provide minor symptomatic relief from scaling if there is fungus. It is best to consult your doctor for targeted psoriasis therapies.
