Does joint pain from doxycycline go away?

I finished a course of Doxycycline a few weeks ago for an infection, but I'm still experiencing joint pain, especially in my knees. Will this joint pain from Doxycycline eventually go away, or should I be worried? It's really bothering me.

My doctor told me that while joint pain is a rare side effect of doxycycline, it usually resolves completely within a few days to a couple of weeks after finishing the course. It happens due to a mild inflammatory response. However, if the pain persists longer or is severe, you must report it to your physician.

Haan, bilkul chala jata hai, aap chinta mat kijiye. When I took it for my infection, my knees ached a lot for some days. But once the medicine course finished, the pain stopped on its own in 4-5 days. Drink lots of water.

Yes, it goes away once you stop the antibiotic. I had some joint stiffness too when taking it. Make sure you don't take any pain relievers without checking, especially if you have high BP or take other daily medications, as they can interact.

It definitely goes away after the medication leaves your system. Don't push yourself with heavy workouts right now; just do light stretching or slow walking if your doctor allows. Give your body time to recover from the antibiotic course.

It usually subsides once the treatment is over. However, if the joint pain is very severe or accompanied by swelling and fever, please don't wait for it to go away on its own. Get it checked by your doctor immediately to rule out any allergic reaction.
