Does inverse psoriasis smell?

I have inverse psoriasis in some tricky areas, and sometimes I feel like there's an unusual odour, especially when it flares up. It makes me quite self-conscious. Does inverse psoriasis typically have a smell associated with it?

Don't search for random home remedies online for this. Odor usually means there is a secondary bacterial or fungal infection in the skin folds. Only a proper doctor can prescribe the correct topical creams to clear this up safely.

I ignored a smelly skin rash under my arms thinking it was just sweat, but it turned into a massive infection. Inverse psoriasis in skin folds can easily trap sweat and lead to yeast infections, causing an odor. Please go see a dermatologist immediately.

Look, inverse psoriasis itself doesn't smell, but because it happens in damp areas like armpits or groin, sweat and yeast accumulate and cause an odor. Keep the area clean and dry, and show it to a doctor right away.

I am dealing with a very painful and slightly smelly rash under my breasts and I feel so embarrassed about it. Is this common with inverse psoriasis? If anyone has used a safe powder or lotion that helped, please tell me.

When I visited my dermatologist for a similar issue, she clearly explained that the friction and sweat in those areas cause a secondary infection, which leads to the smell. Ask your doctor clearly for a gentle antibacterial wash.
