Does intake of sugar cause diabetes?

My family has a history of diabetes, so I'm trying to be careful about my diet. Everyone always says that eating too much sugar causes diabetes. Is this actually true, does high sugar intake directly lead to diabetes?

Actually, it is a big myth that only eating sugar causes diabetes, yaar. It's more about your overall lifestyle, lack of sleep, and family history. But yes, cutting down on daily chai sugar definitely helps in staying healthy.

My grandmother always used to tell us that eating too many sweets directly causes sugar disease. But my doctor explained that while eating sugar doesn't directly cause diabetes, it leads to weight gain which increases the risk. I prefer to trust my doctor and keep my sweets in limit.

Haan na, everyone thinks eating one jalebi will give them diabetes immediately! But it's actually about insulin resistance and our desk-job lifestyle. We should definitely control our sweet cravings though, for safety.

As a mother, I always worry about how much sugar my kids consume daily. Diabetes is complex and depends on genes and activity levels, but controlling sweet intake early on is a very good habit for their future health.

Eating sugar directly doesn't give you diabetes, but too much of it definitely makes it harder to stay fit! Balance is key, so enjoy your occasional dessert but stay active daily. 🌟
