Does inflammation from exercise cause weight gain?

I've started a new intense workout routine, and I feel quite inflamed after my sessions sometimes. I'm also finding it hard to lose weight. Can inflammation from exercise cause weight gain or hinder weight loss?

Haan na, starting a new workout makes your muscles sore and they hold water for healing, ho na. That's why the scale suddenly shows 1-2 kgs extra. Don't worry, it is just temporary water weight.

Bro, it's just your muscles repairing. When you lift heavy, micro-tears happen and your body stores water there to heal them. It is not fat gain. Just keep training and eating clean, it will normalize in a week or two.

I went through this exact phase last month when I started gymming and my weight shot up by 1.5 kg in the first week. I panicked, but my trainer explained it is just muscle inflammation and water retention. After two weeks, my weight dropped and started looking much leaner.

Yes, new physical stress causes temporary muscle micro-tears and water retention. It is a completely natural healing response, so do not stop working out.

Honestly, I almost cried when the scale went up after my first week of heavy cardio and strength training. But my senior told me it's completely normal muscle soreness and water retention. Don't let it demotivate you, it's actually a sign your muscles are growing!
