Does icy hot help with back pain?

My lower back has been troubling me for a few weeks now, especially after long hours at my shop. Someone at the chemist suggested 'icy hot' type balms for relief. Does it really provide good relief for back pain, or is it just a temporary thing?

Honestly, I have tried everything from hot water bags to ginger pastes for my lower back. Icy hot works well to give quick temporary relief when you need to sit at work, but the pain usually comes back. Try a warm mustard oil massage with garlic later, it helps soothe the muscles deeply.

It definitely works for a few hours by distracting your nerves with that cooling-heating sensation. But don't rely only on gels or sprays because they don't cure the root issue. You need to start core strengthening exercises and improve your sitting posture if you want a permanent solution.

I totally get it, back pain can make even sitting or sleeping so difficult and frustrating. Icy hot definitely helps to numb that sharp ache for some time so you can rest. Just don't apply it right after taking a hot bath or it might burn your skin too much.

Haan, temporary relief ke liye toh badhiya hai temporary pain block karne ke liye. Par cold aur hot sensation thodi der hi rehta hai na. Agar slip disc ya severe issue hai toh physically consult kar lo, temporary sprays se kaam nahi chalega.

These over the counter ointments are fine for normal muscle pulls, but we must be careful. If your back pain is radiating down your legs or if you feel any numbness, please do not self-treat with Icy Hot. Go to an orthopedic doctor and get an X-ray or MRI done first to find the real cause.
