Does ibuprofen reduce migraine?

I suffer from really bad migraines that sometimes last for days. A colleague told me that ibuprofen can be quite helpful. Does ibuprofen reduce migraine pain, or should I stick to my usual medication?

I was looking this up because my roommate gets crazy migraines. Some medical articles say ibuprofen can help if taken early during the attack, but chronic migraine might need proper prescription triptans.

If a migraine feels like a tiny hammer inside your skull, ibuprofen is like putting a tiny sponge over it. It dampens the noise, but you still need to avoid staring at your phone screen like a zombie!

Honestly, during exam stress my head literally explodes. Ibuprofen helps ease the throbbing a bit, but I usually have to lie down in a completely dark room for it to actually work.

Hey, migraine pain can be really debilitating. Ibuprofen does help reduce the brain's blood vessel inflammation, but don't keep taking it daily or you might get rebound headaches. Let's get you checked by a doctor soon.

Clinical guidelines do suggest ibuprofen as a first-line treatment for mild to moderate migraine attacks. However, if you experience visual aura or severe nausea, a neurologist's customized treatment plan is highly recommended.
