Does ibuprofen help hemorrhoid pain?

I've been suffering from hemorrhoid pain, and it's quite uncomfortable, making it difficult to sit. I usually take ibuprofen for other pains. Does ibuprofen help hemorrhoid pain, or should I look for specific medicine?

It can give temporary relief from the inflammation, but it won't cure it. I highly recommend warm water sitz baths for 15 minutes twice a day and eating high-fiber foods. But if there is bleeding, please see a doctor immediately.

I have dealt with this painful issue for years. Ibuprofen does help with the throbbing pain, but you must drink 3-4 liters of water daily and use isabgol to keep stools soft. Otherwise, the pain will keep coming back.

Actually yaar, ibuprofen works well to reduce the swelling and pain. But don't make it a daily thing because it can cause stomach ulcers. Better to use some soothing ointments that doctors prescribe.

The pain is so uncomfortable I can't even sit properly. I took an ibuprofen today, but I am scared if it will cause acidity or make things worse. Has anyone else felt relief with this, or did it cause stomach issues?

While it can temporarily reduce the swelling and pain, using painkillers long-term is not safe. It is always best to consult a doctor to get the right ointments and stool softeners. Don't delay your consultation.

Please be very careful. I kept taking painkillers for my piles pain instead of showing it to a specialist, and it turned into a severe infection that required surgery. Go get it checked by a general surgeon properly.

Yes, it helps with the swelling because it's an anti-inflammatory. But the real cure is changing your diet. Cut down on spicy food, eat more green veggies, and use a sitz bath. Don't rely only on tablets.
