Does ibuprofen go through liver or kidneys?

I often take ibuprofen for menstrual cramps, and I've been told to be careful with pain relievers. I want to know which organ processes it. Does ibuprofen go through the liver or kidneys for breakdown and excretion?

Bro, from what I read during my biology prep, ibuprofen is mostly cleared out by your kidneys. Paracetamol is the one that goes heavily through the liver. But honestly, popping too many of either is bad for the system.

It mainly goes through the kidneys. That is why people with pre-existing kidney issues are strictly told to avoid ibuprofen. If you have any doubt, get a renal function test done and show it to a doctor.

These modern English medicines put a lot of pressure on our internal organs, especially the kidneys. It is always better to drink plenty of water to help flush the system. For minor aches, trying ginger tea or a hot compress is much safer.

I am not a doctor, but when I had a kidney stone last year, my physician told me to stop taking ibuprofen completely. He said it filters through the kidneys and can cause strain. I only use what he prescribes now.

Haan na, we always worry about which organ gets affected. Ibuprofen kidneys ke through clear hota hai mostly. That is why kidney patients shouldn't take it easily, ho na? Always check with doc once.

Since I have high blood pressure, my doctor keeps a close eye on my kidney health. He strictly told me to avoid ibuprofen because it can strain the kidneys and raise BP. I focus on low-sodium food and routine checkups instead.

I was researching this online because my uncle has kidney issues. It turns out the liver breaks down a small part, but the kidneys do the heavy lifting to filter ibuprofen out. Quite interesting how different medicines target different organs.

Hey! Actually, ibuprofen gets processed by the kidneys, so keeping yourself well hydrated is super important if you take it. I always drink an extra glass of water with it. Hope this helps you!

It is mainly processed and excreted by the kidneys. Just stay well hydrated when you take it, and you should be fine.

I completely understand your worry, I also get very anxious thinking about how tablets affect my internal organs. Yes, ibuprofen is primarily filtered by the kidneys. Knowing this helped me manage my anxiety and use it only when absolutely necessary.

Oh god, I always overthink this too! Every time I take a pill I feel like I'm hurting my kidneys. But my doctor friend told me occasional use is totally fine for healthy kidneys. Just don't take it daily and drink lots of water!

Please don't ignore this. I used to pop ibuprofen like candy for back pain without knowing it strains the kidneys, until my blood test showed abnormal creatinine levels. Get a proper checkup before taking any painkillers regularly.

In my experience of 60 odd years, taking these medicines occasionally for pain doesn't cause harm. Yes, it affects the kidneys more than the liver, but a healthy body can handle it. Just don't make it a daily habit.

At 52, I feel like every medicine I take goes straight to my joints instead of kidneys or liver! Jokes aside, ibuprofen is tough on the kidneys, so I try to avoid taking it too often. Our organs also need a break.

Haan, kidney par thoda load padta hai isse. Tabhi toh doctor log bolte hain ki zyada ibuprofen nahi leni chahiye. Hydrated raho aur bina baat ke tablets mat khao, simple hai na.
