Does hydroxyzine make you sleep?

Been struggling with insomnia for a few months now, and someone suggested hydroxyzine. Does this medicine actually make you sleep, or is it more for anxiety? I need something to help me get a good night's rest.

I totally get it, sleepless nights are just the worst and you feel so exhausted. Yes, this medicine does make you feel very sleepy. Just make sure you take it when you actually have 7-8 hours to rest properly.

It definitely puts you to sleep! Every time I took it, I would pass out so fast that I even missed my late-night maggi cravings. Just be ready for some serious dry mouth when you wake up.

Yes, it increases deep sleep duration on my smartwatch logs, but my readiness score drops because the heart rate remains slightly elevated. It works for sleep, but check how your body recovers the next day.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! It definitely causes drowsiness, so you will sleep like a baby. Just don't plan any morning driving or heavy work after taking it, okay?

My son was prescribed this when his allergies were keeping him up all night. It really helped him get some solid rest. But please consult your doctor first to make sure the dose is safe and correct.
