Does hydroxyapatite fix cavities?

Reading about this ingredient called hydroxyapatite, often found in special toothpastes, and how it can supposedly remineralize teeth. I have a small cavity. Does hydroxyapatite actually have the ability to fix existing cavities?

My dentist explained that hydroxyapatite is great for remineralizing weak enamel and fixing tiny, microscopic pre-cavities. However, once a proper physical cavity (a hole) has formed, no toothpaste can fix it. You will definitely need a professional dental filling for that.

Just like regular exercise and walking help keep our bones strong, active ingredients like hydroxyapatite help strengthen our teeth daily. But it won't fix a deep dental decay. Keep up your active lifestyle and get those cavities treated by a dentist first.

I felt so guilty when I found out I had three cavities, and I desperately hoped hydroxyapatite toothpaste would magically heal them so I could avoid the clinic. It was really stressful, but I realized delaying only made the pain worse. It does help prevent new ones, but please go get the existing ones filled.

Actually, it works well for tooth sensitivity, yaar. I tried using it to reverse a small cavity but it didn't work. The dentist told me once the tooth has a proper pit, toothpaste can't build it back. Go to a clinic and get it done, it takes like 20 minutes.

I always prefer natural tooth powders and oil pulling with sesame oil to keep my gums healthy. Hydroxyapatite is good for strengthening the teeth daily, but if you have a deep black spot or pain, please don't wait at home. Go see a proper dentist before the infection spreads.

It can help heal early stage enamel wear, but it cannot fix a fully formed cavity. You will still need a dentist's filling.
