Does hydrocortisone cream help eczema?

Eczema since childhood, and sometimes it gets really bad, with lots of itching and redness. My mother-in-law suggested trying a hydrocortisone cream for the flare-ups. Does hydrocortisone cream really help effectively with eczema?

I have tried everything from coconut oil to neem leaves, but during a bad eczema flare-up, hydrocortisone cream is the only thing that quickly stops the itching. Use it sparingly alongside your moisturizers.

It is like a fire extinguisher for itchy skin! Just don't start painting your whole body with it, use it only where it actually red and itchy.

Yes, it works well for skin inflammation. If you have diabetes, skin infections can sometimes mimic eczema, so ensure a proper diagnosis from your doctor first.

It definitely helps calm down the red patches. Hope your skin feels better soon, just make sure to follow the doctor's instructions.
