Does hydrocodone help with nerve pain?

Dealing with terrible nerve pain for months, and it's really affecting my daily life. My doctor mentioned a few options, and I've heard about hydrocodone being used for pain. Is hydrocodone effective for nerve pain, specifically?

Honestly, it might make you sleep through the pain, but nerve pain is a different beast altogether. Half the time I am just yawning and still feeling the tingle in my feet!

I was looking this up because my dad has sciatica. From what I read, hydrocodone is a general opioid painkiller and isn't typically the first choice for nerve-specific pain like gabapentin is.

Hey, nerve pain requires a targeted approach. While hydrocodone can dull the intensity of the pain, it won't fix the underlying nerve irritation, so let your neurologist guide you on this.

For nerve pain, medicines are only one part. Along with whatever your doctor prescribes, try simple things like gentle warm water fermentation or physiotherapy if allowed.

Haan, it helps block the pain signals for a while, but it is not a permanent cure, na. Nerve pain is very stubborn, so please consult a specialist.

At my age, every nerve in my body has its own opinion. Hydrocodone works okay for general aches, but for nerve pain, you really need those specific neuro-supplements my doctor gave me.
