Does high humidity affect arthritis?

My arthritis pain seems to get much worse during the rainy season when it's very humid. Does high humidity really affect arthritis, or is it just my imagination?

I am not completely sure about arthritis since I manage PCOS, but I know weather changes can definitely cause general body aches and joint stiffness. It is always safer to talk to your specialist to see if some safe stretches might help you.

I cannot comment on the medical science behind it, but my knees definitely hurt more when it rains or gets very humid. I usually just keep the room warm and use a hot water bag to get some relief.

Don't worry, this is actually a very common issue that many people face during weather transitions. The dampness makes muscles a bit tight. Try wearing light, warm clothing and don't hesitate to consult your doctor if the pain is too much.

I was suffering from severe joint inflammation last season when the weather got damp. My rheumatologist adjusted my dosage slightly and suggested light knee exercises. Getting a proper diagnosis and following the plan made a huge difference.

My grandmother always complains about her back and knees when the air gets heavy. I got her an electric heating pad which she absolutely loves. Maybe you can try that for some quick comfort!

Our bodies are deeply connected to nature and the elements around us. Do not let the pain discourage your spirit. Stay positive, practice gentle breathing, and apply some warm sesame oil to keep your joints comfortable.

Beta, my joints have been predicting the monsoon for twenty years now. The barometric pressure changes during high humidity definitely make arthritis stiffness worse. Keep active inside the house and don't sit under the direct AC breeze.

Yaar, in Mumbai monsoon the humidity is crazy and my dad's joint pain actually acts up a lot during this time. He usually takes a warm bath and avoids sitting in very cold rooms. It really helps him manage the stiffness.
