Does high fever cause headaches?

Whenever I get a high fever, I also get terrible headaches that make it hard to even open my eyes. Is it normal for high fever to cause such intense headaches?

Yes, high fever dehydrates the body quickly, which triggers a severe headache. Make sure the patient drinks plenty of warm water, fresh coconut water, or light herbal tulsi tea. Avoid heavy, oily foods right now and keep the meals simple and easy to digest.

Whenever I get a fever above 101, a thropping headache always follows it. In my case, placing a damp, cool cloth on my forehead and resting in a completely dark room helps ease the pain until my fever-reducing medicine starts working.

Dekho, fever jab badhega toh dimaag ki nasein garam ho jati hain, headache hona bilkul normal hai. Isme fuzool ki chinta mat karo. Ek paracetamol lo, chupchap chadar taan ke so jao, aur agar do din me thik nahi hota toh doctor ke paas jao.

Oh god, fever headaches are so scary, I always worry if it is something worse like meningitis or a brain issue. Please monitor the intensity of the headache closely. If it is extremely severe or if they have a stiff neck, please rush to the hospital immediately just to be safe.

Haha, yes, it feels like a mini drum band is practicing inside your skull! High fever and headache are like a package deal that nobody ordered. Just switch off your phone, close your eyes, and sleep it off; no need to panic.

Applying a little sandalwood paste or ginger paste on your forehead can give temporary relief from the fever headache. However, if the fever stays high for more than three days or the headache becomes unbearable, please don't rely on home remedies and visit a doctor.
