Does hepatitis from mono go away?

I was recently diagnosed with mononucleosis, and the doctor also mentioned I have mild hepatitis because of it. I'm a bit scared, doc. Will this type of hepatitis eventually clear up on its own, or is it something I need to worry about long-term?

Yes, mild liver inflammation from mono usually resolves on its own as the body clears the virus.

Actually, it does go away on its own, yaar. Mono-induced liver inflammation is usually temporary, you just need tons of rest and zero alcohol for a while.

When my sister had mono, her liver enzymes were high, but her doctor said it is common and it went back to normal in a few weeks with rest. That was just our experience, so do check with your own doc.

Yes, it almost always goes away completely! Just give your body plenty of rest and good hydration, and your liver will be back to normal soon! 👍

Yes, it heals as you recover from mono. I drank warm barley water and ate light khichdi to soothe my digestive system during my recovery, which really helped me feel better while waiting for it to pass.
